On
Cameroon UN
Guterres
Support of
Biya Echoed By
AFP While
Covering Up
Murder and
Rape With
Censorship
By Matthew
Russell Lee, CJR PFT NYP
UN GATE,
September 11 –After
Cameroon
imposed life
sentences and
massive fines
on Ayuk
Tabe and nine
others, for
days UN
Secretary
General
Antonio
Guterres
refused to
answer the
written questions
and request
for comment
from Inner
City Press
which Guterres
has banned
from the UN
for 435
days, now
issuing
Kafka-esque
denials by his
new Global
Censor Melissa
Fleming, see
below.
On
September 10,
after the UN
of Guterres
has repeatedly
lied for Paul
Biya and
covered up his
murders
and even his
soldiers' child
rapes in
the DRC,
Guterres
through his
censor /
spokesman
Stephane Dujarric
who has
refused Inner
City Press'
questions
about Cameroon
for months
puts this out:
"The
Secretary-General
welcomes the
announcement
made today by
President Paul
Biya on the
launch of a
national
dialogue
process in
Cameroon. He
encourages the
Government of
Cameroon to
ensure that
the process is
inclusive and
addresses the
challenges
facing the
country. He
calls on all
Cameroonian
stakeholders,
including the
Diaspora, to
participate in
this effort.
The
Secretary-General
reiterates the
readiness of
the United
Nations to
support the
dialogue
process.
Stéphane
Dujarric,
Spokesman for
the
Secretary-General
New York, 10
September
2019."
It is a total
scam, like
Tony "Back
Door"
Guterres, the
435
day censor.
Tellingly,
Agence France
Presse, which
is given a big
office in
the UN by
Guterres and
asks him virtually
nothing,
merely reprinted
Stephance
"French Whine"
Dujarric's
canned
statements
without any analysis:
"UN
Secretary-General
Antonio
Guterres
"welcomes the
announcement"
and
"reiterates
the readiness
of the United
Nations to
support the
dialogue
process," his
spokesman
Stephane
Dujarric said
in a
statement.
Guterres
"encourages
the government
of Cameroon to
ensure that
the process is
inclusive" and
"calls on all
Cameroonian
stakeholders,
including the
diaspora, to
participate in
this effort,"
the statement
said." This
is the UN
censorship
alliance.
It turns out
that the UN,
its UN News
and also
Media Accreditation
and
Liaison Unit
are so far
worse under
Melissa Fleming
than before. On
August 30
Inner City
Press was
without
reasoning
barred from
entering to cover the
UN General Assembly week
which for example
Biya's CRTV is
allowed into.
Now a
September 6
"UN News"
story, under
Fleming who
previously
defending a
UNHCR staffer
calling for
"harsher
repression"
by Biya on
Anglophones,
has focused on
Cameroon - but
ONLY on "terrorism,"
nothing about
what Biya is
going in the
SW and NW to
civilians.
And
they are doing
this will
public money.
We'll have
more on this -
every round
of questions
and formal
demand for
reconsideration
and entering
into UNGA74 is
being sent
directly to
Fleming's UN
Secretariat e-mail
address,
so far without
any
response. Watch
this site.
Past
4 pm on
Friday, August
30 the UN
issued a
denial of
accreditation
with no
reasoning
other than
that
accreditation
had previously
been revoked:
"From:

eAccreditation

Greetings
Matthew Lee
from Inner
City
Press,
Your media
accreditation
request, with
reference no:
M5413398, has
been declined
for the
following
reason: Media
accreditation
was withdrawn
on 17 August
2018."
This is
Kafka-esque,
and corrupt.
We will have
more, much
more, on this.
This
came after
Guterres had
Inner City
Press roughed
up on 3
July 2018
after it
interviewed Biya's
Ambassador
about the two
men's Budget
Committee
deals and banned
from the UN
since -
Guterres even tried
to get Inner
City Press
banned from
the Park East
Synagogue,
here, which
was denied /
dodged by his
French spokesman
Stephane
Dujarric, who put
up then took
down a podcast
in which he
brags about
his "mutually
assured
destruction"
relationship
with
journalists, here.
More
here.
