EDNY / UN GATE,
August 20 – The day after the
SDNY prosecution of Zhongsan
Lui for illegal recruitment in
the US was covered
by Inner City Press (and the
involved UN refused to answer
Press questions on it), from
EDNY on March 16 came this:
"Two complaints
were unsealed and one amended
complaint was authorized today
in federal court in Brooklyn
charging five defendants with
various crimes related to
efforts by the secret police
of the People’s Republic of
China (PRC) to stalk, harass,
and spy on Chinese nationals
residing in Queens, New York
and elsewhere in the United
States... Fan “Frank”
Liu and Matthew Ziburis were
arrested yesterday, while
Shujun Wang was arrested this
morning. All three arrests
occurred in the Eastern
District of New York. The
defendants’ initial
appearances are scheduled this
afternoon in Brooklyn before
United States Magistrate Judge
James R. Cho."
Inner City
Press had previously covered
Frank Liu of the World
Harmony Foundation and
Congress Web TV buying his way
into the United Nations, for
example paying $100,000 for an
insider's place in UN
Peacekeeping. (Then Inner City
Press was thrown
out of the UN by
Secretary General Antonio
Guterres).
Indicted Liu's
World Harmony Foundation's
website still, as of March 21,
2022, says "The World Harmony
Foundation is a member of the
UN Environment Programme’s NGO
Major Group."
On March 23,
Frank Liu a/k/a Fan Liu nailed
down his release: "Minute
Entry for proceedings held
before Magistrate Judge Robert
M. Levy:Bond Hearing as to Fan
Liu held on 3/23/2022. AUSA
Emily Dean present. Dfse
counsel Edgar Fankbonner
present. Dft not present.
Mandarin interpreter Nancy Wu
present. 1 surety appeared via
telephone, sworn and advised
of the bond obligations and
gave consent to the court to
sign the bond on his behalf."
Frank Liu is free on bond.
Just after
3 pm on March 16, Breon Peace,
United States Attorney for the
Eastern District of New York,
held a telephone press
conference, to his credit, and
took four questions. Inner
City Press asked about the
role of the UN and China's
Mission to the UN, noting the
NYPD Angwang case and the
recent persona non grata
removal of a UN staff member
for working for Russia. The
answer, for now, was that
China's intimidation is
growing wider.
Inner City Press
live tweeted the March 16
presentments in which all
three were bailed, thread here.
Now Ng Lap Seng,
convicted in the SDNY for
bribery in the UN then
released back to Macao is
facing trial here in November
2022: The trial of former
Land, Public Works and
Transport Services Directors,
Li Canfeng and Jaime Carion,
and businessmen, Sio Tak Kong,
William Kuan and Ng Lap Seng
will start on November 4,
2022... Ng Lap Seng is
accused of a crime of secret
association, in conjunction
with the crime of criminal
association and 4 crimes of
money laundering." Watch this
