SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 31 – Will she or won't
she? Nancy Pelosi has omitted
Taiwan from her press release
of her - and others' - trip to
Asia.
This happens as
China takes over the UN
Security Council on August 1
(after already controlling the
UN Secretariat through Antonio
Guterres for six and half
years).
While at
the UN China bloviates about
peaceful resolution of
conflicts, Xi Jinping
warned Biden in a phone call
on Thursday that Washington
should abide by the sleazyly
UN endorsed (and misnamed)
"one-China" principle and
"those who play with fire will
perish by it."
Hu Xijin,
former editor-in-chief of
state tabloid Global Times --
Guterres gives numerous large
offices and repetitive noon
briefing questions to Chinese
state media, while banning
Inner City Press -- wrote on
China's Weibo, another
UN-favorite propaganda
platform: "I've conveyed
the message: if the U.S.
military sends fighter jets to
escort Pelosi to Taiwan, then
the move would take the vile
nature of such a visit to
another level, and would
constitute aggression. Our
fighter jets should deploy all
obstructive tactics. If those
are still ineffective, I think
it is okay too to shoot down
Pelosi's plane."
Nice.
Also on the trip:
Chairman Gregory Meeks, Chair
of the House Foreign Affairs
Committee, Chairman Mark
Takano, Chair of the House
Committee on Veterans'
Affairs Congresswoman
Suzan DelBene, Vice Chair,
House Ways and Means
Committee, Congressman Raja
Krishnamoorthi, Member of the
House Permanent Select
Committee on Intelligence;
Chair of the Subcommittee on
Economic and Consumer Policy
of the House Committee on
Oversight and Reform
Congressman Andy Kim, Member
of the House Armed Services
Committee; Member of the House
Foreign Affairs
Committee.
Any word from
Guterres? None at all. Watch
this site.
