In Jan 6 Case Pauline Bauer Still Detained No Time Stamp on Videos

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Podcast Song
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

FEDERAL COURT, March 25 -- On November 8, 2021 months after the DC Circuit's decision in US v. Munchel, DDC Judge Trevor N. McFadden had before him the case of Capitol breach defendant Pauline Bauer, who according to her standby counsel is ready to plead guilty to a misdemeanor but from whom DOJ demands a felony plea. Inner City Press live tweeted it here (podcast here) (TV Q&A here)

Pauline Bauer's stand-by counsel Hernandez said her investigator went to the jail to show Ms. Bauer her discovery, but it never left the investigations control so it couldn't be "shared."

Bauer was resisting DOJ's "protective order."

On March 25, 2022, Judge McFadden held another proceeding with/on Bauer, who remains detained even as her 90 year old father had a stroke. Inner City Press live tweeted, here:

OK - in Jan 6 of US v. Pauline Bauer, a proceeding before Judge McFadden. She is representing herself, and is still detained; she has cited the Bible.

Judge McFadden: There are two motions to dismiss, Ms. Bauer, yours and your stand-by counsel's.  Stand-by counsel: Mine argues statutory construction, even though Judge Nichols has covered every possible aspect of it.

Judge McFadden: I'll dismiss that motion, without prejudice.  AUSA: We dropped off another thumb drive for Ms. Bauer. This information is available on Relativity and on Evidence dot com but I still downloaded for her.

Bauer: There are no time stamps on the videos I'm being shown. I'd like to show you the video right now, to show that I did not have any altercation with police officers. I know you say that's for trial, but I'm being detained. My father suffered a stroke.

Judge McFadden: I'm not going to reconsider my decision to detain you. You may know, it has been upheld by the Circuit Court... Ms Bauer, the jail does not have a laptop for each inmate. But they are trying. Bauer: I don't have access to Relativity dot com.

AUSA: The thumb drive has been there since Wednesday. Maybe she still doesn't have access to it. Judge McFadden: What about the lack of time stamps? AUSA: Some of the CCTV doesn't have it.

Now Pauline Bauer is being arraigned on superseding indictment. Bauer: The Capitol Police, do they have body worn camera? Judge McFadden: I don't know. I would not be surprised if they don't. Bauer: Are they being required to submit their phone and email info?
