FEDERAL COURT,
March 5 – Minutes
into a break in the
impeachment trial in
the U.S. Senate, accused
insurrectionist Domenic
Pezzola was ordered
detained until
trial by
Magistrate
Judge Robin M.
Meriweather.
Inner City
Press live
tweeted it, below. There
was an appeal.
Now on March 5,
former
U.S.
State Department official
Federico
Klein
was heard but
remains detained
at least
until March 9,
citing cockroaches
in his jail.
Inner City Press
live tweeted
it here:
...Case
is against a former US State Department
employee, Frederico Klein, before DDC
Magistrate Faruqui. Klein is trying to hire /
pay his own lawyer.
While Klein is trying to hire his own lawyer,
counsel for today says "This is not a crime of
violence."
They're trying to set a detention hearing -
but for next week, so whomever he retains has
time to prepare. Klein worked for State's
Bureau of Western Hemisphere
Judge Faruqui: Mr Klein, try to get your
lawyer by Tuesday. Klein: So I remain detained
until then? Can I find a place to sleep where
I don't have cockroaches climbing on me? Judge
Faruqui: If there's a problem with conditions,
I will reach out to the jail.
Replying to @innercitypress Judge
Faruqui: Let's get the pre-trial report to
him. Klein: OK, thanks.
Judge Faruqui: We'll reconvene Tuesday
afternoon. The parties are excused.
We'll
have more on
this.
