SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Feb 27 -- Anthony Young
is accused of committing an
armed robbery of a restaurant
at 839 Prospect Avenue in The
Bronx on January 22, 2020,
stating "give me the money"
and "don't look at my face."
On
February 27 Anthony was
presented in U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrates Court, and got
assigned Federal Defender
Marni Lenox.
Surprising to
some - Inner City Press was
the only media in the
Magistrate Court, but there
were only daily denizens --
the FD did not request release
on bail, but rather consented
to detention without
prejudice.
Young's
preliminary hearing should be
in 14 days - but with the case
"Unassigned" there is at
present no way to know where
it will be. The case is US v.
Young, 20-mg-2091 (Cave /
Unassigned)
