FEDERAL COURT,
Nov 10 – Brian Maiorana,
54, was arrested by JTTF
at his home in Staten Island,
charged with threatening to
kill, and ordering others to
kill protestors, politicians,
and law enforcement officers.
Maiorana late on
November 10 appeared before
U.S. District Court for the
Eastern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sanket J.
Bulsara. Inner City Press live
tweeted it.
From the
now-unsealed complaint: "On or
about October 19, 2020,
MAIORANA posted: 'Its come to
the point where pipe bombs
need to be thrown into these
mobs of potentially non
violent violent protesters.'"
"MAIORANA’s
criminal history shows a 2007
felony conviction in
Pennsylvania for Statutory
Sexual Assault, in violation
of Section 3122.1 of the
Crimes Code. As a result of
this conviction MAIORANA is
registered as a Level 1 sex
offender in New York State."
AUSA: Beyond the
complaint, a search of him
home this morning found
firearms. As a sex offender he
is barred from having them. He
also had a crossbow and an
expandable baton.
AUSA: He had "The
Insider's Guide to Instant
Citizenship and Foreign
Passports." So he is a risk of
flight and deserves to be
detained on that basis alone.
Federal Defender:
I have no bail package at this
time, but we will present one
in the future. We'll respond
to the government's
representatives at that
time... My client needs
medical attention in the MDC
[Will this defendant be in
solitary / protective
custody?]
Judge: I will
enter a medical order.
Anything else? No? Pre-Trial
Services: Our recommendation
was made before this newly
found evidence.
[This is CYA:
Pre-trial, even seeing the
Complaint, said he should be
released on bail] We're
adjourned. Next date 24
November 11 am.
