SDNY / MDC, April 4
-- Saturday from the Metropolitan Detention
Center in Brooklyn, Larry Ray's lawyers were
supposed to write in to the judge, and the
docket, about whether Ray would testify. But
nothing went in.
Kurt Wheelock
checked: nothing. Nothing.
Monday
Ray put on his defense, and it was short. A
cell site expert at $400 an hour, paid for
by the public; his My Cousin Vinny lawyer,
Glenn Ripa. Then it was over and the closing
argument began.
The
Assistant US Attorney played videos of
abuse, and described again and again Ray and
Isabella Pollok torturing Claudia Drury
overnight in the Gregory Hotel, and eating
take-out hamburgers from a diner across the
street as they did it. They also tortured
her at the Times Hotel.
So who were
these men - and at least two women - who
exploited her? Next up in #JohnListGone was
the celebrity dating coach, named on Patreon
here.
[It, like a song
about Lev Parnas was also
covered, behind a paywall, by
New York Magazine which had this
to say about Inner City Press'
covered in late 2021 of the
Ghislaine Maxwell trial, book
here
via one of the companies with
an executive on the John
list.]
When Inner
City Press for investigative
reporting was roughed up and thrown
out onto First Avenue
from covering the United
Nations of/by UNSG Antonio
Guterres, many did nothing.
But as we've previously noted,
the First Amendment stops at
First Avenue. We'll have more
on this, here and on other
platforms.
