SDNY, July 6 – The trial resumed
after five days on July 6, with Schulte
cross examining FBI Agent Schlessinger
then calling three witnesses, starting
with a former Federal Defenders
paralegal he gave "Malware of the Mind"
to for transmission to this FD
lawyer(s).
Judge
Furman agreed to let it in, saying it
was at least relevant to whether Schulte
intended to release it to the public or
to his lawyers.
Then
Schulte called two CIA witnesses. Judge
Furman said he would be sealing the
courtroom, so Kurt Wheelock ran up and
got in as the pool reporter.
The first
was "Cheng" - it is permissible, at
least here, to say he was a young Asian
man - and then Dave, an older white man
who had testified at the first trial.
Schulte
scored points with Dave, getting him to
admit accessing Schulte's computer
remotely, to having downloaded a version
of Stash to a hard drive he store in his
desk. Had he told the FBI about it this?
No, it seemed.
Reasonable
doubt, right? But when Kurt told another
that Schulte scored points, the response
was laughter.
Well. Kurt went on a pod- or vlog-cast,
from the fire stairs and again asked,
Why was Snowden a hero and Schulte just
a troll? The vlogger mentioned the child
porn. That, it seemed, had legs. More on
