LITERARY
SDNY, July 11 – On the
second day of jury deliberations in US
v. Josh Schulte, literally nothing
happened.
In
Courtroom 15A hour after hour, there was
nothing. Finally at 4:45 pm, there were
the prosecutors, Schulte's two stand-by
counsel, and in the gallery Schulte's
mother.
Judge
Furman came out. He said "there has been
radio silence."
The only
request made was by Schulte, for time in
the SCIF the following day, Day 3 of
deliberations. Judge Furman said, Why
not.
The jurors
came in. It didn't seem that they looked
at Schulte. It seemed that his mother
looked worried.
Who
wouldn't be?
In the
docket of Schulte's civil case, mostly
unsealed on July 8 after Inner City
Press' request, entry number 2-1 still
said "You do not have permission to view
this document." More on Patreon
