EASTERN
FRONT, March 16 -- The
Eastern front was catching fire. In
Ukraine there was footage of a bombing
in the Donbas.
In
Brooklyn the EDNY indicted five men for
spying and worse in the US for China,
including trying to pay a private
detective to manufacturer a scandal, with
a prostitute if necessary, to take down a
man who'd protested in Tiananmen Square
and was now running for US Congress on
Long Island.
Kompromat
indeed.
Kurt watched the press
conference head at the Justice
Department in Washington, then called
in to a press conference by the US
Attorney for EDNY Brion Peace.
He
asked about the role of China's
Mission to the UN in the spy plot, and
the role of the UN itself, noting that
Antony Blinken himself had announced
the persona non grata-ing of a
UN "staff member" from Russia the
previous week, for using the UN to do
the work of autocrats. Wasn't that
what Guterres was doing?
An EDNY Magistrate handled the
presentments of the three apprehended
defendants. All were released on bail,
two with the admonition not to go to
or near any Chinese government
affiliated facilities like the UN
Mission of China. And the UN itself?
The
third man, strangely a corrections
officer in Florida who lived with a
teacher in the EDNY but had his bond
secured by his mother in Ohio, wasn't
so restricted. Could he be the
go-between?
After writing up the answer
Kurt looked to see if the UN spokesman
Stephane Dujarric, or freaky Farhan
Haq who was filling in this week while
Dujarric counted his money elsewhere,
had responded. They hadn't. So he
wrote this up to.
The
Larry Ray trial was in hiatus with Ray
saying he'd had a seizure. So the
Eastern front in Brooklyn itself was
open, along with the other Chinese spy
or visa scam case upstairs in SDNY, US
v. Zhongsan Lui. In the elevator a guy
asked Kurt what the case he was
rushing to was about. It being
complex, and wearing the still
required COVID mask, Kurt said
"Chinese visa fraud."
Kurt had first heard
of Jho Low while still in
the UN, before he was thrown
out. Jho Low appeared at a
UN press conference in front
of the ubiquitous and now
defiled logo.
