SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 26 – Robert G. Lopez sued
Cookies SF, LLC and others for
alleged misuse of his marks
"NYC
Cannabis."
On September 24 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Ronnie Abrams held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
A lawyer
for New York City, not a party
to the cases, said he had
taken notice of the lawsuit
and attended. He said the
marks were obvious rip-offs of
various NYC logos: Department
of Sanitation and
others.
As it
happened, Lopez did not show
up, and Judge Abrams spoke of
dismissal for failure to
prosecute.
The case is
Lopez v. Cookies SF, LLC et
al., 21-cv-5002 Abrams)
