SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 15 – Peabody Energy
Corporation is the subject of
a securities fraud putative
class action, filed by the
Oklahoma Firefighters Pension
and Retirement System.
On
May 13, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge P. Kevin Castel
held a conference. Inner City
Press covered it.
The
discussion was of class
certification. Counsel were
corrected on what the common
practice is.
Judge
Castel said the motion for
class cert must be filed by
July 15, with document
production to be completed by
September 16.
The next case
management conference is
scheduled for February 13,
2023.
