SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 28 – Liberty Global
Logistics sued Bomin Bunker
Oil Corp. in a maritime fuel
oil dispute. Now the health of
the defendant's main maritime
lawyer is pushing back the
trial.
On June 28,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Paul A. Engelmayer held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Defense
lawyer Kevin Troy Dossett said
he is recuperating but that
the August 17-19 bench trial
would be difficult, even by
Zoom.
Judge Engelmayer
said while he is loath to
given anyone but his wife and
clerk suzerainty over his
schedule, out of respect for
the health issues he will
allow the parties to write in
and pick a new date in
October, with a possible hump
day break.
The case is
Liberty Global Logistics LLC
v. Bomin Bunker Oil Corp.,
19-cv-3842 (Engelmayer)
