SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 11 –
Julio De Los Santos sued El
Valle 794 Restaurant
Corporation under the Fair
Labor Standards Act for not
paying over time. Now the
parties want to
settle.
On April 11, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
John P. Cronan held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
went and covered it.
Judge
Cronan explained to the
parties that releases that go
beyond the issues in the case
are too broad, citing
decisions by SDNY Judge Lewis
A. Kaplan, and others.
The parties
agreed to go back to the
drawing back and revert in two
weeks.
The case is De
Los Santos v. El Valle 794
Rest., Corp., et al.,
19-cv-11019 (Cronan)
