SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 28 – Arthur and Diane
Abbey sued JP Morgan Chase
Bank on the theft of $453,000
in deposits.
On June
28, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Paul A. Engelmayer
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge
Engelmayer asked about
criminal prosecution, and why
the US Attorney for the SDNY
was not involved. It was a
choice.
Along with the
"malefactor," the policies of
Chase will need to be looked
into through discovery.
Judge
Engelmayer set the next
conference for December 2 at 2
PM.
The case is Abbey
et al v. JP Morgan Chase Bank,
N.A., 21-cv-4643 (Engelmayer)
