SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 30 – Cesar Abreu was
convicted at trial in May in
connection with a drug
apartment in Washington
Heights. But one count
remained.
On June 29, 2022
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Jesse M. Furman held a
change of plea proceeding.
Inner City Press went and
observed.
Abreu
pleaded guilty to illegal
re-entry. Sentencing was set
for October 6 at 3:45 pm.
Judge Furman,
president in Courtroom 15A
over the trial of Joshua
Schulte and holding his other
proceedings there these days,
said the sentencing should be
back in his courtroom in 40
Foley Square - he hopes.
This case
is US v. Abreu, 21-cr-300
(Furman)
