SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 28 – MetroNorth
Railroad has been sued by
employees as it tries to
modify their collective
bargaining agreement with
regarding to swiping out at
the end of shifts.
On
January 28, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Lewis J. Liman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Until now,
conductors are not required to
swipe out.
But
MetroNorth is implementing a
Kronos Biometric Time and
Attendance System that would
change that.
It became clear
in the length proceeding that
MetroNorth has not
sufficiently consulted with
its workforce.
The case is
Sanzari v. Metro-North
Railroad Company, 19-cv-8689
(Liman)
