SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 31 – Raynard Hardy is
charged with being a felon in
possession of a firearm, to
wit, a .380 caliber Lorcin
pistol, model L380. He wanted
to change
lawyers.
On October 29 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Edgardo Ramos amid jury
deliberations in the US v.
Neil Cole he has been
presiding over, held a change
of counsel proceeding. Inner
City Press covered
it.
Hardy's
first assigned counsel had
written to Judge Ramos that
"Mr. Hardy expressed his
despite to have the court
appoint another attorney to
represent him."
And Judge
Ramos did, appointed the CJA
lawyer on duty. The case
is US v. Hardy,
21-cr-432 (Ramos)
