SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 16 – Deirdre Manns has
sued the NYS Department of
Financial Services and its
then-Superintendent Linda
Lacewell for discrimination
and retaliation.
On July
15, 2022 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Denise L. Cote
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
The plaintiff
notes that Lacewell was called
Andrew Cuomo's Minister of
Defense (while Joseph Percoca
was the Minister of Offense).
The AG's office,
for the current
Superintendent, on July 15
said that Manns ran
unpermitted criminal justice
checks.
Judge Cote
inquired into the zeal of
prosecution, then ordered that
any amended complaint is due
by August 4.
The case is Manns
v. Cuomo et al., 21-cv-11154
(Cote)
