SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 30 – Melissa Kaye sued
the NYC Health and Hospitals
Corporation for gender
discrimination. Then she
wanted to fire her lawyer, Ms.
Special Hagen.
On June
29, 2022 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge John P. Cronan
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Ms. Hagen got her
motion to withdraw granted -
then said she plans to file a
liens or sue under quantum
meruit.
Judge Cronan said
if so, she must show why such
a filing in appropriate in
this case, rather than in a
collateral action.
The case is Kaye
v. New York City Health And
Hospitals Corporation,
