SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 13 – Magen Moreau pleaded
guilty to conspiracy to
advertise prostitution on the
Internet. She was sentenced
and is now out on supervised
release.
On July 13, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Paul A. Engelmayer held
a violations proceeding. Inner
City Press covered it.
Moreau admitted
to not paying the agreed
restitution, or even the $100
special assessment.
But the US
Attorney's Office, saying Ms.
Moreau is about to move to The
Bronx, did not urge new
conditions, including on drug
use. COVID and a stay in a
quarantine hotel were also
cited.
Judge
Engelmayer issued a faster
than normal sentence, for him,
continuing supervision and
payment of $25 a month.
The overall case
is US v. Randall, et al.,
19-cr-131 (Engelmayer)
