SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Feb 23 – Shael Cruz, a
visually impaired person, has
sued FIJI Water Company for
having an inaccessible
website.
On February
23, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Lewis J. Liman
convened a proceeding. Inner
City Press covered it.
There are
many such cases in the SDNY,
and presumably in other
Federal districts. The
complaint says FIJI lacks even
alt-text for its photos.
The case is Cruz
v. FIJI Water Company LLC,
20-cv-9463 (Liman)
