SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 14 – New York City fraud
investigators, more than 400
of them, sued the City for
failure to pay overtime. That
was in
2016.
On November 12, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Ronnie Abrams held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The case is
settling, for $3,251,119.60,
30% of which will go for
attorney's fees.
Citing Cheeks
v. Freeport Pancake House
Inc., Judge Abrams said
she will be approving and will
enter an order to that effect.
The case is Adams
et al v. The City of New York,
16-cv-3445 (Abrams / Aaron)
