SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 5 –
Google sued Dmitry Starovikov
and Alexander Filippov for
their role in the Glupteba
botnet, which Google says
costs it money.
On July 29, 2022
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New
York Judge Denise L.
Cote held a proceeding. Inner
City Press covered
it.
Judge Cote had
many questions for defense
counsel: what did he know, and
when did he know it?
The answer was
that discovery should be
reciprocal. Judge Cote
said the defendants' response
to questions is due by August
8, with a next conference set
for August 12.
On August 12,
Judge Cote ordered that
Google's motion for sanctions
is due on August 22; the
defendants will counter-move
and response by September 2.
The case is
Google LLC v. Dmitry
Starovikov, et al.,
21-cv-10260 (Cote)
