SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 13 – Fresh Direct was been
sued for discrimination for
using criminal history
screening to turn down job
applicants.
On May 13,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Katherine Polk Failla
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
One issue
is joint prospective employer.
Another is New
York's Fair Chance Act.
Judge Failla said
an amended complaint is due
June 4. Defendants will move
to dismiss on or before July
9.
The case is
Franklin v. Vertex Global
Solutions, Inc. et al.,
