SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 16 – Jeremy Fulton pled
guilty to rape but then
complained that his lawyer
"told me that God wanted me to
plea guilty... They knew in
2001 I did not live on the
first floor so Reyes could not
jump out the window."
On July 16 U.S.
District Court of the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave
held a proceeding on Fulton's
habeus corpus petition. Inner
City Press covered
it.
Cave gave
Fulton three weeks to respond
to the state's upcoming
motion. She asked about his
ability to use the law library
in his facility.
Fulton has said
that "due to the fact that I
do not have documentation
state a deadline I am unable
to attend Law Library more
than one day a week."
That should
change, with a deadline.
The case is
Fulton v. Superintendent,
20-cv-21 (Daniels / Cave)
