SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 4 –
Michael Castillo is charged
with murdering Hector Arias,
in front of 712 East Gun Hill
Road in The Bronx, in
2011.
On May 4,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge John G. Koeltl held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The case is
finally set for trial this
coming July 12. It was moved
back from March; previously,
Judge Koeltl said, "This case
happened in 2011. They either
remember or they don't. It's
been nine years. So it's not
going to fade between now and
six months."
On May 4,
Judge Koeltl set a final
pre-trial confereence for July
7, and another conference for
June 22.
The case is US v.
Castillo, 19-cr-428 (Koeltl)
