SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 1 – Rafael Waller pleaded
guilty to selling
fentanyl-laced heroin in the
Bronx.
On July 1, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Jed S. Rakoff
held a sentencing proceeding.

it.
The stipulated
guideline sentence was 100 to
125 months.
Judge
Rakoff asked the Assistant US
Attorney why the 60 months
minimum would not be enough.
The AUSA emphasized the danger
of fentanyl.
Judge
Rakoff imposed a sentence of
72 months.
The case is
US v. Waller, 20-cr-6 (Rakoff)
