SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 31 – US Information Group
LLC sued EBF Holdings, LLC for
loans it called usurious, and
for loan collections it said
violated RICO, including a
text message quoted in the
complaint: "Vasia, if u think
u will steal 250K n we will
play by your rules u r
mistaken."
On October
31, 2022, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge P. Kevin Castel
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered
it.
After Judge
Castel inquired, it emerged it
was clear if co-defendant
Saadia Shapiro is represented
by counsel.
Judge
Castel set a new conference
for January 9, 2023 at 11 am,
and asked the plaintiffs to
inform him in writing by close
of business November 1 if they
intend to further amend their
pleading.
