SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 31 – Indemnity Insurance
Company of North America sued
MSC Mediterranean Shipping
Company and Globerunners, Inc.
over a cargo of
pistachios that was
"misdelivered to parties not
entitled to them."
On October 31,
2022, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge P. Kevin Castel
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge
Castel asked the parties if
this could not be mediated and
they indicated a willingness
to try.
He set December 6
at the date for mediation,
leaving the mediator the
discretion to move the date
but only seven days in either
direction.
If that doesn't
work, he set a next conference
for March 31, 2023, and a
discovery schedule.
The case is
Indemnity Insurance Company of
North America v. MSC
Mediterranean Shipping Company
S.A., et al., 22-cv-3296
