SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 8 – Union Mutual Fire
Insurance Company is involved
in a lawsuit about a
construction accident in The
Bronx.
But it is not the
defendant - it is suing the
injured construction worker,
Pablo
Brito.
On August 6, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Paul A. Engelmayer held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Engelmayer, accurately, called
it an unusual case.
One of the
lawyers said that she would
soon be replaced by another.
Judge Engelmayer said he was
once a journalist and learned
to never say "replaced."
The case is Union
Mutual Fire Insurance Company
v. Tejada et al., 20-cv-9166
(Engelmayer)
