SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 9 –
Devendra
Kumar Jain
sued US
Postmaster
General Louis
DeJoy for
employment
discrimination.
On
November 7,
2022, U.S.
District Court
for the
Southern
District of
New York Judge
Jesse M.
Furman held a
telephone
proceeding.
Inner City
Press covered
it.
Jain in his
complaint says
he was
bullied,
harassed and
targeted by
his
co-workers.
He
could not be
effectively
understood
when he spoke
on November 7;
Judge Furman
apologized but
asked Jain to
put his
additional
information in
writing.
At the end
Jain
complained
about a lack
of time off to
pursue this
case.
The
USPS's lawyer
interpreted
this, then
said while
time off had
been given for
the EEOC
complaint, it
would not be
given for a
Federal
lawsuit.
The
case is Jain
v. DeJoy,
22-cv-2751
(Furman)
