Alleged Heroin Wholesaler Who Skipped On Bond Is Back in SDNY So Conference August 4

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, June 8 –  Jose Camarena-Familia was arrested in 2018 and charged with distribution of wholesale quantities of heroin and cocaine.

On June 8, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Katherine Polk Failla held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Judge Failla noted that she hadn't seen Camarena-Familia for two years. Back in 2019, she had issued an arrest warrant when he stopped responding to Pre-Trial Services and did not return to his residence.

He was re-arrested on May 19, 2021.

Now Judge Failla set the next conference in the case for August 4.

The case is US v. Camarena-Familia, 18-cr-649 (Failla)
