SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 9 – Rachael Mancuso
sued L'Oreal USA for gender
discrimination.
On March
29, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Lewis J. Liman held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
When Mancuso
resigned in 2020, the
Complaint says, L'Oreal
"attempted to retain Ms.
Mancuso's exclusive services
by asking her to consult with
the Company while keeping the
news of her resignation secret
from internal employees and
external customers."
Then they tried
to enforce a non-competition
clause.
There was
a confidential settlement
conference on July 21 before
Magistrate Judge Ona T. Wang.
On August 9, Judge Liman held
a proceeding which Inner City
Press again covered. The
parties want another session,
confidential, before
Magistrate Judge Wang.
The case is
Mancuso v. L'oreal USA, Inc.
et al., 21-cv-989 (Liman)
