SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 23 – New Jersey's
Scott Swayze sued Theresa and
Natasha LaFontant of Spring
Valley, New York and others
after a dog on their property
bit him.
On January
21, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Edgardo Ramos held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Defense counsel
said he didn't know who owned
the dog. Plaintiff's counsel,
addressing him directly, asked
why not just ask the client?
Judge Ramos
intervened and set a schedule,
with filings due from February
11 through April Fools Day.
The case is
Swayze v. Lafonant, 21-cv-4867
(Ramos)
