SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 31 – George W. Adams,
Jr. is charged with altering
the "To" line of checks and
cashing them.
On March
31, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Lewis J. Liman held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Back on January
7, the CJA lawyer assigned to
Mr. Adams had written that
"communications between Mr.
Adams and myself have broken
down and he has asked me to
request that I be relieved and
another attorney be assigned
to represent him. I have no
objection to these request.
On March
31, another CJA lawyer was
assigned.
The case is USA
v. Adams, Jr. et al.,
20-cr-607 (Liman)
