SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 12 – Photographer Al
Satterwhite has sued Hearst
Corporation for using his
photo of what looked like Mel
Brooks in the Times Union
without
consent.
On August 11, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge Jed
S. Rakoff held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered it.
Judge Rakoff asked why the
parties had put off even basic
discovery until September 20.
He suggested August 27 and
they agreed. He said, be ready
for trial January 12.
The case is
Satterwhite v. Hearst
Corporation, 21-cv-5287
(Rakoff)
