SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 6 – Citgo Petroleum
Corporation sued Ascot
Underwriting Limited over
problems with an oil shipment
from Venezuela.
On May 6,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The talk was of
insurrections, as applied to
whethe Guaido or Maduro is the
legitimate leader. Citgo had a
deal with PDVSA "until the US
government implemented
sanctions on PDVSA," the
Complaint states.
The oil was
supposed to make it to Aruba,
but did not.
"The seizure
arose directly from an
insurrection in Venezuela
against its legitimate
president and internationally
recognized government," the
complaint continues.
The case is Citgo
Petroleum Corporation v. Ascot
Underwriting Limited,
21-cv-389 (Woods)
