SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 4 – Gregory
Sheindlin sued James Brady for
defamation. But there is more
to the
story.
On
April 2, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Lewis J. Liman
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Brady
asked loudly why the case had
been assigned to Judge Liman,
who he said had dismissed his
case and called it vexatious
litigation.
Judge Liman
stated calmly that he is not
required to describe the
individual assignment system.
Brady insisted
that $1.7 million had been
stolen from him. Judge Liman
asked what relief Brady was
seeking, then denied it. Soon
the half hour was up.
The case is
Sheindlin v. Brady, 21-cv-1124
(Liman)
