SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 8 –
Pret a Manger has been sued
for false claims of being
healthy, while in fact using
"soya, a genetically modified
organism as well as numerous
other synthetic
ingredients."
On
May 7, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Pret wants
to file a motion to dismiss.
But the plaintiff will be
getting some discovery,
including credit card records
for jurisdiction.
The complaint has
a long footnote naming all the
products being accused of
being fraudulent.
The case is
Barton v. Pret A Manger (USA)
Limited, 20-cv-4815 (Woods)
