SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 23 – Manuel Rangel sued
ABC Mart Inc. a home goods
store at 3505 Broadway, and
three Doe defendants for not
paying overtime or minimum
wage. Then it was settled.
On October
19, 2022, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge John P. Cronan
held a fairness hearing. Inner
City Press covered it.
$85,000 are to be
paid; there is a convenant not
to sue. Judge Cronan inquired
into it and the Doe
defendants, then found the
settlement complies with
Cheeks v. Freeport Pancake
House.
This case is
Rangel et al v. ABC Mart Inc.
et al., 21-cv-947 (Cronan)
