Greenwich Quantitative Research Re-Litigates JAMS Arbitration In SDNY, Service Issues

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, August 29 –   Michael Aksman and Greenwich Quantitative Research LP are engaged in a dispute about a JAMS arbitration in mid 2020.

On August 27 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Paul A. Engelmayer held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Aksman says he was never served, and that the resulting award was arbitrary and capricious.

Judge Engelmayer remarked that some of these issues were resolvable with material from the first year of law school. Still, he led the parties through a series of questions and hypothetical, teeing the issues up.

The case is Aksman v. Greenwich Quantitative Research LP, 20-cv-8045 (Engelmayer)
