sued Shanghai Cuisine Inc. for
not paying overtime and
minimum wage in a putative
collective
action
On January 28, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Edgardo Ramos held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
There is a
dispute about how to provide
public notice, and how much to
pay.
Reference
was made to WeChat, and to the
newspaper WorldJournal. The
defendants said only $1500
should be spent. But the
plaintiff wanted, and got, a
higher figure.

al., 18-cv-5448 (Ramos)
