SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 31 – Carmelo Caballero de
la Cruz and others sued
Pastrami Prince Inc. (doing
business at 1125 Lexington
Avenue in Manhattan as
Pastrami Queen) for
non-payment for non-tipped
duties including carrying
soup, potatoes and meat from
the basement to the kitchen,
setting the trap for mice and
cleaning the tank where grease
would sit.
On October
31, 2022, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge John P. Cronan
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered
it.
The tasks
described in the complaint
were far from appetizing.
Now the
plaintiffs are scheduled to
move for default judgment as
to Defaulting Defendants by
November 4, with a show cause
hearing set for December 19 at
10 am.
The case is
Caballero de la Cruz et al v.
Pastrami Prince Inc. et al.,
20-cv-4643 (Cronan)
