SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 24 – It
seems that Rahi Indian
Restaurant at 60 Greenwich
Street in Manhattan has been
inaccessible to people in
wheelchairs.
They got sued.
On June 24 U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Robert W.
Lehrburger. Inner City Press
covered it.
The lawyer
for defendants said they are
open to settling, but that
depends on there not being a
second surge of COVID-19 cases
and another lockdown.
Then, he said,
all bets are all, as they are
for all of his "hospitality
industry" clients.
This case is
Vuppala v. Tapestry Management
LLC et al., 19-cv-4246
(Engelmayer /
Lehrburger).
