Mayorkas Is Used Over Bryant Park Investment Not Resulting In Promised Immigration Benefit

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, June 6 – Shilin Liu has sued Alejandro Mayorkas and Homeland Security, for not granting her credit for his I-829 investment of $500,000 into the Bryant Park EB-5 Project in Midtown Manhattan.

On June 4, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge John G. Koeltl held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Judge Koeltl asked Ms. Liu is she had reached out to the US Attorney's Office, which represents Homeland Security.

She said she would, that this was her first mandamus. The papers call her and colleagues "alien entrepreneurs."

The case is Liu et al v. Mayorkas et al., 21-cv-3882 (Koeltl)
