SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 7 – K. O'Brien sued
conference organizing company
Inspire Summits LLC for wage
theft.
On June 7,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
defendant argued that O'Brien
was a consultant and that he
was not covered by the FLSA.
The plaintiff said he would
only settle of all the money
is paid upfront and is in
escrow.
The defense
said its business only
recently opened back up so
that would not be possible.
The case is Moody
et al v. Inspire Summits LLC
et al., 20-cv-5834 (Woods)
