SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 11 – Volquez Romel and
others sued Indian Road Cafe
of 600 West 218th Street for
violations of the Fair Labor
Standards Act in paying $8 an
hour and not paying
overtime.
On April 11, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Ronnie Abrams held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
There have
been default judgments, and
motion to vacate default
judgment.
Judge Abrams is
referring the case to the
designated Magistrate Judge,
something she asked be
conveyed to counsel who had
not appeared.
