SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 24 – Liberty Mutual Fire
Insurance Company sued Zurich
American Insurance Company of
Illinois over an injury to
construction worker Jael
Downes at 1980 Adam Clayton
Powell Boulevard in
Harlem.
On April 22, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Ronnie Abrams held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
While both
parties said they trust each
other, at least to extent of
not needing expert reports,
there is a still a stand off.
It was called a "light switch
issue" - liability, or no
liability.
Judge
Abrams said depositions are
due by August 12 with a next
conference on August 26 at 11
am.
The case is
Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance
Company v. Zurich American
Insurance Company of Illinois,
